Sweat stains are not the only stains you need to worry about when out doing sports, since sport drinks also can cause unsightly stains down your shirt, not to mention the resulting malodour. If you spill some sport drink down your top, it’s important to remove as much of the sugary residue as possible, as soon as possible. Sport drink stains are oxidisable, so it’s important to use a washing detergent, like Ariel, that contains bleaching agents to help remove the stain. Removing sport drink stains
Rinse the garment before rinsing under cold, running water.
Soak the garment in the sink in warm water and Ariel Original Washing Powder for 30 minutes.
Remove excess, again
Repeat step one and rinse garment under cold, running water.
Pour Ariel Original Washing Liquid from either the bottle or the cap directly onto the sports drink stain, enough to completely cover it.
Add scent booster
To make sure that you get rid of malodour, add Lenor Unstoppables Active In-Wash scent booster directly into the washing drum before loading the washing machine.
Without rinsing off the liquid detergent, place the garment into the wash along with other similar items. Leaving the washing detergent on the stain will give your wash that extra boost of cleaning power.
You can also use the pre-treat cap to ensure you use the right amount of washing detergent. Just fill it with the correct dose of liquid detergent and place it directly into the drum of your washing machine, on top of your dirty laundry.
Wash on the usual cycle, on the hottest wash temperature indicated by the instructions on the garment’s care label.
When the cycle is complete, unload the garments immediately, and enjoy the resulting high endurance freshness, courtesy of Lenor Unstoppables Active In-wash scent booster. Make sure the stain is completely gone after washing before placing in the dryer, as drying may set the stain
