Ariel teamed up with one of the UK’s leading comedians, Katherine Ryan, to clear the air surrounding the proper use of Ariel 3in1 PODS (our most compact washing detergent so far) in a light-hearted fool-proof video. You might know the entertainer for her appearances on a number of British panel shows including “Mock the Week”, “Safeword” and “8 Out of 10 Cats”, as well as being the host of the hit game show “Your Face or Mine”. And how does she connect with the topic of washing PODS? Besides being a world class comic, Katherine’s also a mother of one, and as such, she knows perfectly well that when it comes to children, safety is no laughing matter.
“I understand the importance of safety in the home, especially when you have curious little ones like Violet (my daughter) roaming around. In their hands, everyday objects including PODS can become dangerous, which is why safe storage is such a vital message” says Katherine on why she decided to join forces with Ariel for the campaign. Other safety measures enacted by Katherine included the implementation of safety gates, cupboard child locks and even a toilet guard, to keep phones and keys from being flushed. “We left one cupboard available to her and filled it with plastic bowls for drumming. Household cleaning products and sharp objects were always kept out of reach. The cat even avoided the floor and now eats on the countertop so that her tail is out of reach” she adds.
Katherine Ryan shares her laundry tips with Ariel
As far as laundry tips go, Katherine doesn’t take herself too seriously: “Make a loud household announcement when laundry is about to be done. Anyone who fails to bring soiled clothing will be punished with a laundry strike. Anyone who brings clean washing to be rewashed will be punished with a double laundry strike and may incur other penalties and fines”.
Although Ariel 3in1 PODS are easy and convenient to use, it’s still very important you use AND store them correctly to get the best cleaning results and avoid any unintended exposure. Watch Katherine demonstrate how to use PODS properly below and find out where do the detergent capsules go! And remember: always POD safely. Close with a click. And keep away from children.
