Don’t worry, tough stains exist so that Ariel can get rid of them.
Adhesives – including glue and nail varnish
Dab nail varnish remover onto the affected piece of material (except on synthetic fabrics such as nylon and polyester), then wash with Ariel Regular Washing Liquid according to the fabric care label.
Ink – including ballpoint and felt tip
Soak overnight in cold water containing a bit of Ariel Excel Washing Gel Regular, then wash with Ariel Excel Washing Gel Regular according to the care label. Dab older stains with nail varnish remover (not suitable for synthetic fabrics), then wash with Ariel Excel Washing Gel Regular as normal.
Brush off the excess of the stain. For regular fabrics, rinse under cold water to dilute the stain, before soaking in a bucket of water with 3 tablespoons of baking powder for 30 minutes. Then wash according to the care label with a liquid detergent such as Ariel Regular Washing Liquid.
Rinse under hot running water before soaking for at least 2 hours in a solution of warm water and Ariel powder. Then wash as usual, according to the care label, with Ariel Regular Washing Powder.
You don’t want vomit left hanging around so remove as much as possible under running cold water. Soak in water containing Ariel Regular Washing Liquid , then wash with your Ariel Regular Washing Liquid as normal.
Peel off any surface wax, then sandwich the fabric between sheets of blotting paper, or kitchen towels. Use a warm iron to press down on the back of the fabric. Then wash with Ariel 3in1 PODS Washing Capsules Regular as normal according to the fabric care label.
It leaves a nasty smear on your clothes and may require several treatments, but don’t despair. Pre-treat the stain: get rid off the excess of the stain with a spoon, soak the garment in warm water for 30 minutes in the sink with Ariel Regular Washing Powder, then wash it as normal with Ariel Regular Washing Powder.
Whatever the colour, simply soak the clothes in a sink with Ariel Regular Washing Liquid in warm water for an hour, then wash them with Ariel Regular Washing Liquid as normal at the hottest temperature indicated on the care label.
Gum is easier to remove when it’s hard, so place the affected item into a bag in the freezer, or put ice onto the gum (rub it on the gum at least for 30 minutes). Once it’s hardened, you’ll find it breaks off quite easily. Then wash with Ariel Regular Washing Liquid as normal.
Put the garment under running water and pre-treat the stain with Ariel Regular Washing Liquid or Ariel Regular Washing Powder in cold water, then wash in cold water using your usual Ariel Regular Washing Liquid detergent that can give further stain removal even at 30 degrees.
